Soviet Riverine Monitor Udarny

The Udarny was a Soviet monitor and was a part of the Danube Flotilla formed in 1940. She participated in the Great Patriotic War, World War 2 to the rest of us. She operated in supporting the Red Army after the invasion of the Soviet Union in June of 1941 by Axis forces. Her main armament consisted of 130mm guns. Her anti-aircraft guns were her weak point and she was sunk by German dive-bombers early in the conflict. Shown here is a waterline model.
